Swn-Y-Mor

A gaff-rigged, cutter-headed yawl built at Snape Maltings in 1993. She was the last yacht to be designed and built by McMillan Yachts International before Sean McMillan set up the new firm of Spirit Yachts.

Designed for the present owner, her style is of an Essex Smack of the 1890s, with influence from the Dutch ‘Botte’.

Topsides are of varnished Brazilian mahogany, with coachroof, deck and cockpit of mahogany in vertical planes and of teak in horizontal planes.

Planned for versatility and short-handed sailing, with 5 working sails, Swn-y-Mor has travelled from her base in North Wales to Scotland, Ireland, Brittany and the Mediterranean.

ACCOMMODATION

Moving aft, a compact galley with fridge ,cooker (2 burners, oven & grill) and 2 handthrown basins and tiles designed for Swn-y-Mor. Full-sized chart table to starboard, designed for navigation in the roughest seas.
